In June we replaced our normal monthly meeting with a guided walk around the local area. Members very much enjoyed the sunshine and the exercise. (And a well earned drink afterwards!)
September saw the first face-to-face meeting of our WI since COVID restrictions lifted. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces again. (Zoom just isn't the same!) We marked the occasion with a display of the wonderful craft and art projects our members have completed during lockdown. What a talented bunch!
Members of the team of Blood Bike motorcycle couriers came to explain the vital and rewarding work they do in transporting blood to where it is most needed. Despite the wintry weather, many members were inspired to go and inspect the motor bike that had been brought along as part of the talk.
We got an early march on Easter by creating and decorating paper egg baskets. This fun project was fast to complete and allowed for plenty of catching up chat as many members saw each other for the first time in months.
